HIS TRUTH
She walked up to the cafe; she was going to meet him here for the first time since she was two. She wasn't frighten he was her father... her blood father; she stood outside of the cafe looking inside wondering why did it take him so long to contact her again. Was he that busy... or was he just avoiding her earliest memory of him wasn't her best. She pushed the door in the bell rang alerting that there's a new customer in the building. She brushed her purple hair out her eyes, scanning the room, "Over here, Dew" she heard her name she turned to see a man in his late forties waving at her. She walked over at the table, taking a set across him, she looked over this man studying his feature, his ears were tan with white spots, and they were tipped with black. His skin was olive colored, his eyes where icy blue it could send chills down any man's back.
"Hello.. Brian" she said in a cool calm voice, he chuckled and smiled at her, "Dew... call me dad I am your father". Dew looked at him making sure not to show him any emotions, "it may have been your sperm that created me....but you didn't rise me Richard did that" her voice had a hint of bitterness in it.
"I can see why your mad, hon" he reached over to put his hand on hers' she pulled back as if it was fire burning her.
"Why?" she asked looking into his eyes, the anger could clearly be seen
"Violet eyes" Brian smiled, "they would have been blue like mine" the smaller bunny scoffed at his comment. They sat there in silent before a waiter came for their orders, Dew sat back in her chair and looked out the window watching the people walk pass them.
"Dew..." Brian said his voice low as his eyes narrow, "how do you think of yourself...attractive wise"
"Huh?" Dew looked at him a bit shocked, "um...well... I think am pretty...well yea" she smiled she was a fairly good looking bunny. She was covered in a short coat of redish-brown fur that was soft to the touch; her hair was a rich shade of purple ending right above her tail her hair matched the color of her eyes. She was short and petite at the height of 4'9", the only problem she saw with herself was her butt. She had never got over the fact that when she was 16 she got stuck in the bathroom window, and the only thing stopping her from getting out was her butt that was wedged in.
"I was fearing that" he said darkly, "I don't want you to go thinking that your pretty because your not" he leaned in looking into his daughter's eyes. Dew's breath hitched at what he just said, this was coming from her father her own blood. He reached out and grabbed her hand, "people...people out there don't find girls like you sexually attractive in anyway" Dew was frozen her eyes grew big as saucers.
"Face the fact you look like an animal" he shook his head, "now if it was only the ears and tail...they could imagine that they're not there, but you're covered in fur" Dew felt a ping of pain in her chest, "they might think of you more as a pet then a lover, baby".
"B-but...y-you married mom" she stuttered out
"Because I had too, she was a one night stand wasn't suppose to be more, it was her parents that made me do it" he said in disgust, "if I had a choice I would of just left her with the kid, David...that's his name right?"
"You didn't care" she asked her fist tighten under the table
"No...not really...she was just real easy it wasn't my fault that she didn't have protection" he rolled his eyes, look over his shoulder for any sign of the waiter with their food. Dew's lower lip trembled, "don't looks so sad there bun-bun" he reached over and ruffled her hair. She closed her eyes this man...he was terrible, "you have three kids right?" she nodded she loved her kids with all her heart, "they're mistakes".
"WHAT!!!!" she pulled back glaring at him with the intent to kill him right there on the spot.
"Dew calm down your causing a scene" he hissed at her, she looked around and surely every pair of eyes in the cafe was looking at them, she slow sit back down in her chair.
"Now listen to me...I believe that you were and the father was drunk when you got pregnant with your twins am I correct?" she nodded, "and you have a three year old too" he sighed and smiled as if he was proud. A smile slowly appeared on Dew's face was this something he was happy about...was he proud to be a grandfather, "they wouldn't have had sex with you if they didn't have anything in their systems" he pulled at his cuffs, "I mean look at you...your...your...how do I explain this". Dew looked at her reflection, on the table her ears dropped her mother said that she was beautiful... but then again every time she had sex she was either under the influence of something or taken by force, she was afraid to emit it but he was right. She was pretty sure that if anyone had a choice they wouldn't sleep with her.
"You better enjoy those kids of yours, you probably won't have anymore" he smiled she notice that his smile was crooked like those old time villains. She wanted to leave, sitting across this man made her feel like crap, truly something unwanted, she wanted more kids but at a later time in her life.
"I feel sorry for the man who would ever marry you...seeing your mug every morning he gets up, and every night before he go to sleep with be painful" he chuckled with a devilish smirk on his face, "but I don't have to worry about that, because who ever marry you would do it out of pity". The small bunny's cheek became wet, "I mean who would chose to marry you, if they do ...they better have a live in mistress to take him away from the painful truth of being your husband" he looked at his watch, "well look at the time, I have to go" he wiped away her tears.
"Don't cry, love" with that he left her alone at the table, Dew closed her eyes tightly she waited for the bell to single that he was gone. The chime of the bell echoed in the small cafe, she bites her lower lips hard, trying not to make any noise. Small pool formed on the surface of the table, it felt like waterfalls flowing down her cheek. She took in a few deep breaths small pitiful sound escaped her lips, her whole body shook as s he got up and left the cafe.
I wrote this in early February ....I think because of this talk with her father she broke up with her long time boyfriend...I don't know why I'm posting this now
